Computer repair log NPR001: Feeding Problem. The Samsung ML-2510 laser printer has this glitch of not feeding properly or not feeding at all. Cleaning of its rubber pickup wheel solves this problem but point in time; it may be back to the same problem. It is a device problem hence you have to clean this component occasionally.
For a quick clean up, locate the black rubber pickup wheel. Unplug the printer. Take off the front panel or cover and take out the upper paper tray (see 1st picture). You can thus see the toner. Remove the toner by pulling it by the handle (see 2nd picture). You can straight away see the rubber pickup wheel in the center (see 3rd picture). Use cotton buds dip in a rubbing alcohol. Rub the buds on the rubber feeder wheel to clean it. Also clean the cork like pad below.

For a thorough clean, you can take out the pickup rubber wheel without removing it from the shaft. Facing your ML2510 laser printer, locate the idler wheel as seen in figure 3. Cautiously remove the right idler wheel by pushing the lock towards the center. The lock is situated above the idler wheel. Take off the tab lock by gently lifting the lock from the shaft and slide it to the right. You can now remove the side plate and the pickup wheel. If not, you can wash it with warm water and soap the tap dry. Re-install it the same way in reverse. Now your ML2510 will feed paper like new.
Replace the rubber if it is worn out. Others clean the rubber with a sand paper to make it slightly rough so the paper won’t slip thus making it better to feed.
