Computer Repair log nclt002: Blank Screen. An Acer Aspire 5560 laptop was brought to us for repair. Booting can be heard but the screen is blank. Back-light can be seen in the lower portion of the screen and is working. Try to press and a little twist, the screen to check for loose connection but with no result. Attempt to boot in a safe mode but have the same outcome. Suspected problem is in the LCD screen side. Open up the LCD housing to check the Inverter or LCD. Boot up the laptop while the LCD is exposed and surprisingly, there have been output on the LCD meaning, the LCD and inverter is working. But again, screen went blank again. Check on loose connection but everything is well attached. By pressing the back portion of the screen, it goes on and sometimes goes out. At this point, the flat wire connecting the LCD and the inverter needs to be replaced.
